Mix Your Own Painkiller
The Painkiller is the national drink of the British Virgin Islands, founded at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke. The cocktail, so delicious and simple to make, just may perk up your grey, dreary January/February days. Here is the recipe:
2-4 oz. of Dark Rum
4 oz. pineapple juice (or 4 oz of any combo of juices you like)
1 oz. cream of coconut, preferably Coco Lopez brand
1 oz. orange juice
4 oz. pineapple juice (or 4 oz of any combo of juices you like)
1 oz. cream of coconut, preferably Coco Lopez brand
1 oz. orange juice
Shake, strain and serve over ice. Grated fresh nutmeg on top!
